jardini and silver success

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i don't really remember...but i think i've had the silver for 2 years or so.

as for the jardini. i hope not. but we'll see. he's been bullied several times so he was a bit timid. and when i went on vacation i isolated him just in case (hunger = aggression) but after i came back and released him he started nibbling on other same size catfish probably cuz he got used to being alone. so...i decided it was time to try what i've been waiting for since the beginning. and put him with the silver

240 or 300 gal? hope it works out. that would be killer

Never trust the peace now. Always monitor them closely especially the jar seen to be able to be fitted into the mouth of that silver.

update:

not too long after i put up the pictures i put the CK back in and it's been fine since. i jailed him for a week so he's being nice.

the silver and jardini are doing ok. they've been competing for food more so the jardini has lost 4 or 5 scales. but because of the competing they're eating more than they did alone, and the jardini has already grown another inch or so because of it.

everyone in the tank only eats pellets and occasional bloodworms/brine shrimp. im sure if live foods were part of their diet there would be alot of aggression.

Great news. Still that little rascal is growing and beware that it may become aggressive once it's much bigger. But all the best.
