Still not eating, ill keep trying. He's starting to nip at his cichla tankmates.

Sounds like he is trying to establish rank in "his" tank. Which means that he is starting to settle in. Now is the time you have to keep a close eye on your jar's aggression. They can kill for no reason. Not to be worried though. Just keep an eye on them. Mine still nip at tankmates now and then. As for feeding, it may take a while. When I brought home my little jar last year, he wouldn't eat for a week. I finally got him to eat crickets. Then I went from crickets to plankton+blood worms(FD) and eventually to pellets..Now he eats anything... His favorite is tilapia fillets:D.

Keep us posted,
Chris

If he grabs the aro sticks and spits them out, he's almost ready to start eating them. Try to introduce the pellets and nothing else for a few days. He should be eating them in no time.

Before you know it you'll have a beast like mine :grinno::grinno::grinno:!!!!!!!
