Consider yourself lucky. Here in Aus you can expect to pay up to $1000 for a large silver aro if you really wanted one.

It's all in the fish. My 20" Jardini has never been aggressive to my 6" dats or various bichirs he is housed with.

I agree, mine is 18" the largest fish in the tank and the first one in the tank. It doesn't bother anybody. I've had that "other" jar before, one day all is good and the next day all is dead.
