Jardini community trial questions

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Just be prepared to lose fish you house with it. My old jar killed a monoculus the same length as it as well as a slightly smaller adonis pleco. It was fine till around 7-8", then went postal

Yea I'm prepared, that's why I'm using $15 brycon, but thanks bro.

Can't wait to see it. I have to admit, the more negative things I read about their attitudes, the more I REALLY want to get a Jardini!

I think you're on the right track with the Brycons though. They've probably got a better shot of living with a Jar.

also, pics pics pics pics pics! especially since you're getting 2 fish I've been fixating over (jardini's for a long time, but recently Brycons have made the list).

excuse me,talking about aggresiveness, which one is more aggresive,a jardini aro or a RTG aro?

I have no experience with rtg

Unfortunately I think the Jardini was stressed from shipping and was dead this morning when I woke up....so I'll have to replace him or decide what I wanna do.

@isde02:thanks,and sorry for your jardini...:( hope you can find the replacement soon.by the way, where do you live and where did you order the jardini?

So is that when they start getting aggressive 11-12in?

Jars can be aggressive at any age/size. I've had quite a few in my tanks and some can live quite well with other fish and some just can't. If you already have fish in your tank, introducting a jar shouldn't be too much of an issue as long as they can keep up with the jardini's growth rate.

haynchinook and IlikeBichirs Jars are far from the dangerous size, looking at the pix...:)

It has workd for me several times, BUT, jars may not own the tank, meaning they should go in last, after the other, bigger fish, are used to the tank.

A jar that owns a tank is s serial killer.

On another note, with RTG's it can go both ways. Some are meaner than Jars, but Jars are consistently mean.

And Greens are meaner than Rtg's....imho
