An arowana doesnt always have to be 24 inches at adulthood. And you people can stop flaming. I get it, 75 gallons may be quite cramped but what am I going to do? Nobody in our area has a tank over 55 gallons. You ignorant people don't get it, its like talking to a brick wall. Just forget about it. It will get to probably 18 inches so it can still turn.

I don't like the advice given, so I'm going to disregard everything.

Nobody was 'flaming', simply discussing jardini and tank sizes. Nobody posted anything directly to your fish keeping practices. Have you tried advertising him online here or on an online sales website? If you truly do love your fish then you will either pass him up for a bigger home or get a bigger tank. If you keep him in a 75g for his entire life and stunt him purposely which it sounds like you are going to do, then you simply do not care less about your fish and think of your happiness before theirs which is a horrible way to go about this hobby.

This is what I've been seeing for years here on this forum. :wall:

Well nobody in your area should have an arowana of any sorts, end of story. Nobody in my area has 100k gallon aquariums, so you know what we do? We don't try keeping whalesharks.

Hi Andrink, I'm not sure how to respond about you deleting your signature... Oh well preferences.
But It's just this, if you would kindly re-read all the post I've posted is that I don't really flame on you or anything, I'm just asking some direct questions, cause that's what I do, I don't beat around the bush.

Let's say you really love the jardini, would you like it to have the best thing you could offer to it? I bet you would.
But that's the idea, the way you describe your fish keeping practices contradicts on what is happening right now.

The real deal is that we wouldn't want you to waste any investment or effort you poured on keeping the fish and found out in the future that there is a dead fish floating due to poor husbandry care and/or lack of the fish's demand. I don't want you ending up in the worst mistake thread. Once you go there probably you're gonna type this or have a thought in your head, 'wish I still had my...'
Thanks, it's ok, we might plan a pond, a rather small one though because of the space which would be maybe 4' by 2'. Might..or we will just have to see, it's still small.
