My arowana wasnt eating today and my guess was that he was full. Since arowanas tend to starve them selfs after they have eaten too much.

I only feed him a meal worm in the moring, and about 3-4 crickets at night each day. And once in awhile a feeder guppy.

Then, checked up on him before i head to bed and i see abunch of dead shreaded mealworms and a ball of stuff that looks like crickets and guppies put togeather. Now, i didnt feed him anything or had left over food today so it must of came from him.

Is this normal?!

Did you feed him just after you did a water change?

My jar has never vomited and doesn't starve itself ... he's a pig! :D

nice visual!!! I've seen mine upchuck right after eating too big of a mouthful, but I haven't ever seen one vomit later, good post, I'm curious about the answers too.....

My lil jardini did the same thing once too. I fed him 5 meal worms, saw some of the gooey insides floating around the tank and did a small w/c about 5-8%, then about hour or so later I saw the eaten meal worms on the bottom of the tank.:WHOA: :irked:

After that I didn't bother to do w/c right after he eats, instead waited a few hours or the next day.

He might have been full already, and doing the w/c caused him to upchuck it probably.

Now hes swimming around with his mouth opening and closing. He wasnt like this before.

Also, he has a 3" string of fish poop hanging out. And its not brown or anything, its clear with whiter greenish spots here and there. Same color of the goo ball he threw up.

Ate somthing bad?

probably, maybe he'll feel better after that poop releases lol.

aro's are pigs and in my opinion will continue to eat until there fat and ugly, and even then will continue to eat. both my aros eat continuisly. i think jardinis are different. my current jardini wont eat and hasn't since i got him. took him almost a month to eat when we first put him in my friends tank.

thinkin it might have been a bad eat, whatever it was. see if it continues after a few more days
