most veterans dont like war movies because they never actually portray what really happened its either over exaggerated or under.

i think the best war movies are band of brothers and the lost battalion

Best an most realistic Movie dealing with Marines, Sands of Iwo Jima.

it that even good?

in old movies like that, when the soldiers get shot, dont they just pause for a second and then fall?

not very realistic IMO, and when they get shot its kinda not on key like when pull the trigger they get hit like 2 sec later

Its very good for the time it was made, plus special effects over play alotve things. Like GSW's theres no spurt of blood when you get shot with a FMJ bullet, it goes in an comes out rather easy. Having shot a person or two an having been shot myself helps with knowing things of this nature.

When people get shot they do tend to just fall down, unless it was not a solid hit, then they fall down and make a lot of noise.
A war movie I did enjoy was "Big Red One"

Jarhead was a pretty good movie, not your typical war movie though. I saw the previews while watching "Over There" on FX and thought it would be a lot like that, or a lot like "Full Metal Jacket". Very different kind of war movie but I liked it a lot. The visuals were stunning. I don't know how accurate it is but being it was based on a book written by the main character I imagin it is pretty true to life.

i enjoyed the movie ALOT

it gave me insight to the military life - good and bad

i was disapointed that it wasnt longer

a 9 out of 10

i havnt seen it, but i heard there was lil to no action.

i think they should make a movie based on fallen angels,

im joining right outta highschool. my dad influenced me on this one, he served 8 years and in desert storm as a combat injunier (sp?) he got to carry around the good ol'e M60.

joe, you ever hear of a twililte scope for the M60? and know where i can get one?
