JD & Convict Cichlid question

$5 per convict? I'm moving to indiana and going into business!! I'll be a millionaire in no time! My local LFS had trouble hiding their unhappy feelings when i brought them a dozen convicts. i got a SMALL bag of hikari out of the deal. I think I saw one of the same convicts still there, a year later.

I didn't know a convict sold for $5, much less a lfs paying that.

oh, and I would say you could keep two female JDs in a 55. no males, no pairs.

After reading this I checked the prices at several pet stores in this area. Seems like most sell convicts for the same price $2.99 I can not immagin that they buy them for $5 then sell for $2.99. Maybe $5/doz. then sell for $2.99 each
