How the hell can you be 100%

Theres no look of GT in it, not to mention the 2 fish cant even hybridise.

How are sure they can't? You would be surprised at the many different CA/SA species of cichlids interbreed all the time.

yea there are a lot if they have almost any of the same genes they should be able to hybridize! except oscars they are weird! but there are plenty of naturaly occuring hybrids in the wild! i dont know any of them but i do kno there are! can anyone say some natuyrally occuring hybrids?

The only hybrids of GT's I have seen are with closely related acaras.Plus JD's dont often cross, the only ones I have seen are with Texas cichlids and convicts.

Besides the fish in question appears to not even be a hybrid.I know a lot of cichlids do hybridise but people are far too quick to say hybrid when a lot of the time its a pure fish.

GT's and JD are not even remotely close to being related.

Are Convicts and Firemouths similar? No. Are Texas and Convicts similar? No. But they have been crossed. Just because it isn't often that a JD crosses with another fish doesn't mean it cannot be done. Especially with a Green Terror.

are they usually striped like that?
new to jd's, just try to find out what to look for in buying one.
kinda looks like a convict in one of the pics.

also, the red on the fins?
