Ok, amazingly enough my JD's have spawned again!

I don't want to muck it all up again this time, but it couldn't have happened at a worse time!

I have to go away on Friday till Monday. I don't have the time to build up a divider, but I do have my mini 15gallon tank still running. Basically took the JD's out of there on Friday I think, and now they have spawned in my 120g.

Am I better off just leaving them to sort things out and fend for the new spawn or do I take the rock out and put that into the spare tank.

If I do, how do I do that?

Or, do I take the parents and the rock with the eggs out?

I'm so happy but the timing could not have been worse! :nilly:

so they spawned in the 120 right? what else is in the 120?

Its a bit overstocked at the moment till I get the chance to get rid of some fish.

I've got my oscars, 2 jewels, and two africans, an angel fish and a gourami.

Before anyone freaks, they are all very small still! The biggest are my O's at I'd say 3-4 inches.

I do already have a fully cycled 14g tank ready in case..

Not even sure how long the eggs have even been there.

hmm, two jewels and two africans, so four africans because Jewels are african.

JEWEL CICHLIDS ARE AFRICAN! (for people who have a bad memory).

for the record, i am aware that jewels are african... but the other two that i have i don't know what they are.

all are going to be rehoused very soon.

I would just leave it as it is, you could divide the tank if you wanted to, most people use egg crate (light diffuser) as a divider. You just cut it to size and hold it in place with suction cups, you can buy it at menards/home depot/lowes/or most other hardware stores.

Problem is that I don't think I'll have the time to make the divider for now, I did have a look at some of the local DIY shops but none of them carried the egg crates.

I suppose what I will do now is just let nature take its course.
