JD New Spawn, Panic question and need some advice...

As I have eggs again and really want to make sure it works out this time I want to move the rock which they laid the eggs on now that they all seem to be fertilized.

This is going to sound stupid, but how do I move the rock??

Do I literally just take it out and move it to the other tank or does it need to stay submerged during the move?
 
It will be fine pulling it out literally and moving it ;) You can however... Keep it submerged.. But I never do...When I move eggs that is :)

I had this weird thought that the eggs would just for some reason roll off or something. I just imagined lots of jd eggs rolling all over my floor..

silly, I know ;)
 
Make sure you pick out the white unfertilized eggs as they develop. Your wigglers could get stuck in them. I normally wait until they become wigglers and siphon them out so I dont have to worry about it.
 
I found wigglers last night as I got in, planned to siphon them all out as above suggested. Thought I'd have time to make dinner and things first...

By the time I got back to the tank they have disappeared. Parents are also acting quite strange.

Daddy seems to have run off with another woman!

Strange thing happened, the man ran off with the other female, so since then the wigglers have disappeared - happened all so quick.

But it looks like there is going to be another spawning soon - giving off that kind of behavior again.

This time I'm going to do it totally differently, as soon as I see the eggs give it a day to make sure their fertilized and then straight into to 14g.

How about you? I saw in another thread that you are awaiting a spawing, hows it going?

yeah thats good then hope it goes well :)
well i was watching my fish and they had red worms sticking out
i think thats why they had there tubes out mayb ? well there under treatment now so yer hopefully they dont die on me :)
