Looking a little strange never noticed the black throat on a Texas before...

that's normal.

It's not a true texas (Cyanoguttatus), It's on the Carpinti side. Looks like a Carpinti one would get from a lfs.
It's a for sure female with the blotch at the dorsal.. They get white head and black throat when aggressive mood or horny..

She's a baby. Expect more Pearls in time

Im interested in seeing into what it turns into . Keep updating the growth please . Looks like it may be a texas/blood parrot hybrid from the side view.

Bear in mind this fish is only just 3". I saw it sparing with my Oscar and thought nothing of it until I saw the Oscars face:eek:
