JD or Texas Cichlid?

What other fish do I need to try red Texas hybrids.?

I have a flower horn but it's the wrong type being a bright blue Thai silk.

From what I've read you need a Texas and one of the following, blood parrot, red devil, synspilum, king kong parrot. In your case it loss like your options are red devil or synspilum because you need a male and most male parrots are sterile. Im considering a red Texas project myself! Very exciting

looks like a normal carpintis. I don't see anything to suggest hybrid unless it's a carpintis/cyano hybrid, which is very possible.
 
So many different opinions :D I'm going to have to grow this one to find out what it is... Would any particular photos help in IDing this cichlid?

I'm pretty sure that my Texas cichlid is trying to spawn with my t bar cichlid of all things...:what:
At least being in the community tank o shouldn't end up with some stunted hybrids

I'll say its a texas hybrid because of its lack of pearls across its entire body.
