I've tried googling a bit and don't really get anywhere with it. I figure it'll become a little more apparently as time goes on. The fish is still pretty young.

There are alot of factors involved in sexing these guys. IMO they are the easiest to sex, for me anyway. There are distinct variables in the pearls that are key indicators. I dont rely on the gill plate method.
Guap- You got a female. HIGHLY stressed out too.

That was the day I dropped her in. Its been about a month now and when I can get my digital camera back I'll post a better pic.
