It means WAY WAY WAY overstocked tanks with BIG BIG BIG filters. Basicly asian fish stores that have fish cramped in really really small tanks to the point where the fishes bump into each other, but the filters are top notch and are really overfiltered. Sometimes fishes are sold on the street literaly and the fishes are already in oxygenated bags.

It's when you take an empty glass tank, fill it with live fish until it is 2/3 filled, then fill up the rest with water, and add a enough filtration to have a 100x turnover-rate.

:ROFL:i love this!!
sorry if yall disagree but some of those tanks i see are pretty bad ass.
i just want to know how they make sure everyone gets fed?
but i do love a moderatly stocked tank. and even very lite stocking of active fish. they all have there place

Yeah, they can actually be pretty nice when done right, but there are soooo many people who do it wrong and it just looks like what you see when you lift the toilet seat of a porta-potty...

ha agreed. its def an art. im gettin there tho. if my fiance lets me :D
i just need that poly carpeting that everyone has

JDM can also mean Japanese Domestic Model...

But yeah, i've seen books which have JDM tanks that measure 1M X 2M X 2M which contained 9 Aro's, and 7 Dat's... i've also seen pics of a JDM tank which has a Prima would was as long as the tank and i don't think could even turn around or do anything???

Although i have to agree they definitely have some mad crazy filtration on those tanks...
