JD'S or GT's

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've got a male JD (7") and a male GT (4") in the same tank.

They are both great fish. My JD is more personable, though. He follows me from one side of the tank to the other, and if I walk in the door (about 20 feet away), he hears it and comes out of his cave to the front of the tank begging for food.

The GT hides more, and is more skittish (although getting more outgoing as he grows). I expect that once he starts catching the JD in size, he'll get a lot more outgoing.

I don't think you can go wrong with either fish. Why not do one of each in a tank instead of a pair of one? Breeding them is useless as they are in EVERY store, and you won't make any money on them. Plus, they look REALLY cool together since one is purple/green/blue and the other is green/orange. Makes for a really cool tank to look at.

I was thinking abotu that idea, but he said he wanted to breed them, either way i think a male of each species would be sweet.
