well i would try getting her into the hobby with you. get her some fish and teach her the correct way to take care of her fish as well as the maintenance and upkeep of the fish and tank. better yet buy her a 50' python as her next gift. just kidding. good luck. my wife didnt get it until she was reading this site. now she knows filters, wc's, tankmates and a few latin names of the fish. best thing is she actually enjoys them too.
