Jebao = Taking over the world with Cheap! low power usage pumps & Wave makers, look

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Don't jinx it! Did you have the DC versions or dct?

I have been running a jebao 404 canister for over 2 years with no issues, build is the same as a Eheam but has 2 O-ring seals on the power head and the power cord is kinda flimsy, water out put has always been pretty steady, on

All i know is that i had 3 dc12000's go bad out of about 6 so far. Is it just my luck? I highly doubt it

I have also ran hydrives for years without any problems so i blame the brand. Just my 2c for other people looking at these pumps

I am at 1.5 and almost 2 years on my pumps. Don't know what to say. Me and many others have had great experiences, I do know that not always does everyone have the same result with every product sold, Just look at any review section for any product.

I will report that I had a controller for one of my wave makers just go out on me, The wave makers were the first thing I ordered, 2 years ago. I am either going to order another controller as my other one works fine and the wave maker was confirmed good, or ill wire it into my apex with the cable you can get. But pumps not a single problem so far and all still work with controllers, I use the adjustable flow on my smaller tanks a good bit and feed mode when I want.

And thats the same way I have mine setup, all hard pipe 1.5", other than one tank its clear hard tubing split in a y 1 inch

While Trev had good luck with Hydrives they would lock up on me 3-4 times a year due to scale and hard water deposits. I went through 2 4800s in less then 3 years. Same issues with Quiet One pumps. BUT I wouldn't expect any submersible pumps to hold up in my liquid rock 9+ PH tap water.

My pump unicorns have been Reeflo and Dolphin. There's a Dolphin here that's been pumping water for over a decade. I bought it used and used for 7 years before I finally sent it in for a new seal and that was several years ago. There's 7 of this style external pumps in service here and every one of them was bought used and I haven't had issues with any of them.

I use magdrives and love em, never a single issue, though I know others have. All personal preference and a bit of luck.

On topic of Jebao, I ordered 2 wavemakers, WP-40, I ordered another one but got an even better version as vendor must have beem out, RM-15 or something can't exactly remember but a slight step up from WP-40, and I tell you I couldn't be happier with both units. Cheap, effective, and my big female stingray just LOVES surfing the current right over it. Now I do only use the continuous setting at the highest power, so don't know how the rest work, but not a single issue in 1.5 years.

I love Reeflo pumps as well, dislike the magdrives (they and I dont get along). My Reeflo I have was used and still running for a few years in my hands and I just picked up another used hammerhead that im putting new seals in and going to be using later for a new project. I do think water has a good part of how they act and how differnt people get different results, and if your pump was made on friday at beer 30
