Yeah when I ask a question nobody usually ever answers it. I get alot more answers from people on this board. I am not trying to put down simply discus ryan but there does not seem to be alot of involvement on that forum.
To get back to the topic at hand, I've purchased fish from Jeff several times, as have most people on this forum I'd imagine. He's one of the vendors at MFK and one of the go-to people for hard to find Central and South American fish. I've mostly purchased wild-caught or F1 fish from him. I've always been pleased with my purchases.
Hey Cichlidfever, How do you like your Escondido male. And how is his temperment. I was looking at them on Rapps site and liked them alot.

Simplydiscus is a great forum with tons of discus knowledge. They are a very different crowd then here but the information there on discus is second to none. I've always got good responses there. They do however expect people to have a basic understanding of discus care and to give your discus what they require. Nothing wrong with that.
As far as Rapps goes I have a few exceptionally nice fish from Jeff. I've also gotten some fish that I haven't been overly pleased with and I've had orders were fish were not sent that I requested. Jeff has always been nice and very professional with me and definately has a huge stocklist. He also packs the fish exceptionally well, probably the best in the business at it. I don't order much from him because his shipping is to high in my opinion. Everyone else can ship fish for less overnight so I have a hard time believing it is costing him $90 to ship me fish. Especially when I can ship the same box for half that. Overall my experience with him has been OK, for me the high shipping cost combined with, paypal fee, box fee, extra just add up a little to much for me to order from him much. He has tons of happy customers so that speaks for itself.
