Exactly how I feel all this "yellow mamba" nonsense is for the fans I mean a month our two of great basketball will not make you a star he's good but it's alot easier to get off when no one knows you..

38 points against the lakers isn't that amazing, he takes jump shots, so the big 7 footers didn't really affect him.

I really gotta disagree with you here. Guys like Rashard Lewis and Ray Allen are jump shooters and have those guys ever scored like that against the Lakers? No. He was driving into the paint consistently and making sweet shots over Bynum and Gasol (2 All-Star 7 footers).

Fast forward to 1:31 to see him drive and make a sick shot over Bynum and then fast forward to 2:25 to see him drive the lane and make a tight reverse layup over Gasol. He was also shooting over Gasol and Bynum that whole game and made some 3 pointers over them. I highly doubt even a good point guard like Devin Harris or John Wall could make those shots, but Yellow Mamba did!

john wall and devin harris are in the nba because they do that consistently and ray allen not only put up big numbers on the lakers he best them in the finals you can't compare lin to any valid starter right now in my opinion he isn't even playing with the real starters in the real offense he averages 11 points a game and your comparing him with kobe "yellow mamba" and ray allen a world champion... I think he's on a hot streak and I wanna see where he is when all the dust settles

26 minutes 10 points, 5 reb, 13 assist yes 6 TO still pretty damn efficient...

Why all the hate?

Stephen curry? He may be but curry isnt that good to me either and it's not hate if you admit that he is good.. Which I think he is good.. But not great.. I'm just offended by the fact that everyone thinks this is a "linderella" story.. It's the makings of one but players like him let people down all the time

I'm not hatin, I'm glad for him, but I just feel like everything is being blown way out of proportion. Look at his numbers before February. They weren't that great. Also, In the game today he only had the 4th or 5th highest +/- ratio. A great way to judge a point guard is assist to turnover ratio, and lins isn't very high....

Edit: it's about 10 to 6 in the last 5 games, and 4 to 3 for the entire season. Not nearly an elite or "star" level.

Oh curry is definatly better. He's proven to be a solid player for 2 years now. Lin's been good for 6 games.....

The thing you're leaving out is that he only took 6 shots. He made 4 of them. So getting 10 points by taking only 6 shots is pretty damn good.
Plus, he set a CAREER HIGH in assists last night. It's like every other game, he's setting a new career high in points or assists. Yeah he turns the ball over a lot, but that's because he's aggressive driving into the lane. Most of his turnovers happen around the paint after he drove into the lane and his guy couldn't handle the pass. 13 assists and 6 turnovers is a really good rate. And he gets fouled all the time driving into the lane.

We will have to see how he plays when teams are prepared for him.. I mean his accomplishments are huge but I see guys like him all the time in the nba.. Kareem rush... Boobie gibson.. If he can keep it up consistently tho (and I hope he does) that will be a HUGE pickup for the nicks

I think comparing Jeremy Lin to Kareem Rush and Boobie Gibson is way off. Rush and Gibson were hot during 1 playoff series for their teams. Gibson torched the Pistons in 2007, but any guy can get hot against a certain team because that team might match up badly against that guy. Boobie Gibson also had Lebron on his team. The Pistons couldn't defend Lebron and Gibson got open for a bunch of 3's and open jumpers. Lin is totally different than Boobie Gibson because he's been able to score on a bunch of different teams, even teams with All-Star guards and multiple All-Star defenders. It's a lot more impressive because for most of this winning streak, he was playing with the Knicks backups and they were still winning.
