are you kidding me no Melo no Stat
team was 8-15 before he he bacame a starter how you gonna blame that record on him.

6-0 since he been a starter nuff said.

Because when your a "star" the wins and losses are your fault.. Period end of story.. Like I said time will tell if he is a star or not.. This can either be the beginning of a great career... Or the story of a guy that had a few great games... I just think it's a little early to act like he is a superstar...

You make no sense now. How can you be blamed for a teams record when you weren't on the damn team? I dont see anyone one here calling Lin a superstar.

Ok you are making valid points and I admit he is doing very well but in my honest opinion do I think it will continue? No... do I want it to? Of course I'm a ny fan but I have seen alot of players have outstanding games and then just fizzle away... If you feel he is amazing or an inspiration ok cool.. I dont but hey thats me.. I'm just going by his career as a whole.. I mean easily the most improved but as of right now it's to early to tell

Come on man, you gotta be kidding me. Lin has averaged 27.2 points a game since he became a starter. He's put up 28 against Deron Williams (Nets All-Star), 38 against the Lakers (with 2 7-footers), and 23 and 10 assists against John Wall (#1 overall pick). All of those guys should know how to defend him without looking at much tape. They're either All-Stars or people rated a lot more highly than JLin.

This argument that he's doing so well because people haven't seen much about him really doesn't give him enough credit. People haven't seen much tape about Andrew Goudelock or any other guy in the league who doesn't get much playing time. How come they're not burning the Lakers for 38 points?

In tonight's game vs. Toronto, he had 27 points and 11 assists. He also hit the game winning 3 pointer at the end. He's been the biggest story of the NBA and you're saying coaches aren't prepared to stop him? No way. They can't stop him. The fact that he's been able to do this consistently means he's got skills. I don't think you can say he's having a lucky month either, unless you want to say he's been having the luckiest month in NBA history.

Here's a story about tonight's game:
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=320214028

And here's a video of him hitting that sick buzzer-beating, game-winning 3. Look at this shot and tell me it's all luck.

Biggest story in the nba???look, I watched him last year and he was not very good, ever. You seem to be pointing out only the good. He set the record for most turnovers in a players first 5 starts. He's playing without ball hog melo. 38 points against the lakers isn't that amazing, he takes jump shots, so the big 7 footers didn't really affect him. The nets and wizards are awful, don't even say its impressive to play well against them. It's also not extremely difficult to score 27 when you shoot 22 times. Remember at the 1 minute mark people were calling "linsanity" dead? He hit 2 shots and people forgot the rest of the game. Now... If he plays well the next 10 games, I'll consider calling him a solid starter and not just someone on a hot streak (which seems to be fading).

I'm sorry that I don't call someone a star after just 5 games, I like to actually judge someone off a solid body of work.

Exactly im not taking away from him as a player just saying all this "yellow mamba" "linsanity" is for the media and fans he starts on a team without good guard play... scores some points and beat scrubs and suddenly it's a cinderella story? No if he can pull off what gilbert arenas did (my favorite cinderella story in the nba) then he will be inspiration...

Cool, hope he continues to grow as a baller. Here's to hoping he'll sport the purp and yellow one day haha

Last year he got into the game when teams were up by 30 or down by 30.
