But, jewels are easy. Clean water with adequate filtration and a mature pair, and you're pretty much good to go. Give them something to spawn on...a rock, clay pot, whatever.
Here's the female from one of my pairs with a brand new batch of babies. I moved these guys out to their own 20 gal, and they spawned the next day. I've got a few hundred jewel fry growing out now. God help me....
