Yea, it's silly that Joe became the fall guy in this, in fact the guy who told Joe about it is still there(not fired). Why is this all Joe's fault but not Macqarry(the guy that told Joe)?

When this thread was started a lot of people were saying Joe pathetic was a fall guy. I never said he was completely to blame but as he said he could of done more. These are words out of his own mouth, He hired Sandusky and worked with the piece of crap for years. Joe knew he had an office on campus after allegations of his likeing to horse around with young boys. Joe preached to students and football players about doing the right thing and he was well respected on that campus. Why you think the kids rioted over his firing if he was just a footballll coach? Joe was an Icon. But Joe knew the Sandusky scandal would hurt the enrollment and donations to the college. So Joe let someone else hopefully take care of it which nobody apparently did tilll now.You say Joe wasn't charged with anything but he was fired. He had to do something wrong to get fired.

Well, we were trying to just post updates and discuss them as the trial unfolded, but apparently attempting to have a mature conversation in regards to this whole situation doesn't jive well with some people.

My comments of him being the fall guy stand. If you steal a piece of candy from a store...you shouldn't get life in prison.

Mcqueary's lack of action is much worse then Joe's...so why did he get treated better then Joe?

If it is ever known/proven that Joe personally knew of Sandusky's action outside of hear say then I'll say yes he deserved to be fired... but as of right now that's all we have, is that Joe only knew through hear say.
