Yeah there are not problems getting centipedes from LFS here either frozen or live. I actually tried asking them for some roaches so that I could breed some for my own fishes comsumption but they have been reluctant :D

Ha! I found a beetle when Gu Kaan was alive and he ate it and spit it out about 5 times, then he looked at me like "what on earth are you doing feeding me that crap?"

I have lots of creepy SPIDERS here, some poisonous, some not. Is it safe to feed any spider to fish or will the poison kill them?

yeah, there are no such things as non-poisonous spiders, all of them carry toxins for killing and digesting prey. its just the level of toxicity that differs

well, I haven't yet, cause of that, but after the june beatle post couldn't resist grossing out the arachnaphobics a little more, n e 1 got spider pix, gross out time!

theres an idea.. breeding roaches to feed an arowana.. honestly i think it's a pretty neat idea EXCEPT for the fact that they WILL find a way out of whatever system you have them in.. only crappy thing about roaches..
i imagine they'de be REAL good eating for arowanas though
not exactly something i wanna have around but definately an interesting idea for food..
all you guys with fairly tropical climates are lucky that way.. as long as there arent any pesticides.. go nuts!.. i guess it woudl be better to not feed a venomous critter to your aro.. but on the other hand.. i imagine they eat the odd one or 2 in the wild without problems?
it would be real neat to see what kind of stuff these fish eat in the wild
i'm hoping that when i start buyin books and things that they will have the answers i'm searching for
