I would say a 18 is a good grow out but eventually a larger tank should be provided they can get over 24'' but usually not in aquariums

Average price for one around 4''-5'' is $80 around here i wouldn't pay over $100 for one 7'' or smaller so much cheaper then tigs

As for the ATF not a bad combo i've seen it done before shouldn't be a problem except tank size

I have this combo and it is nice. they do love current. My Juru just chills all day in front of the strongest point of the current (u can see in the pic how the sand just makes a bowl around him) and as for the combo, it all depends on the ATF. My Goliath is starting to get aggressive and has had his first strike towards the juru. It only took about 5 days for the Juru to heal (very minor scrath) but I love these guys. My Juru is about 10-11"

I have a pic of the Jurus favorite place in the tank, The minor wound, the one who did it, and the choice of weapon:ROFL::D

Really cool cat. Its funny when people come over there is more talk about the Cat and its color/whiskers and LONG streaker than the 12" Goliath or teeth on a fish:screwy:...... So I think a pretty darn cool cat:D. JMO

Mine almost constantly does the tripod stance. More like an ornament than any other fish I own. Rarely moves even with the lights out unless disturbed.

My guy sits where he is or swims up on a slant on the driftwood. Almost a birdseye view from the front of the tank (Ganna have to snap a shot to show what I mean:D) and he swims around. Once the lights are out, its off to the races...up and down the tank. I have to say he can be pretty active at times (with the lights on you might catch him swim around once)

Oh yeah and in my last post I said 10-11". After measuring him i got 14":naughty:

nice one, west. i wish my little baby didn't croak :(
