juruense vs tigrinus?

One thing im surprised at is the fact that if anyone gets in the way of my tig he biffs em out the way lol

If i see a j for sale and its cheap and big enough to go in with the big guys il try it.

I have seen someone on here with both a tig and a jar growing up together with them gettinig along fine. I'm affraid I can't be more helpful than that, i've read a lot of threads and can't remember details of them all. My starting point would be run through the Catfish forum and you might come a accross it. I' tempted to try the 2 together in future just from waht a read off that thread.
 
I personally have not mix these two but I have talk to somebody that did. Is a jurenese the same as a false tig? I know tigs do not tolerate another tig in the tank. I would think it would be the same as a jurense.
 
Hi all.

Being lucky enough to keep both of these fish currently (Tig & Jurense) I wouldnt personally put the two in together.
They are both pretty territoral especially the larger they get.
Two Tigs will not tolerate each other in the same tank & neither will 2 Jurense so I would assume that they wouldnt tolerate each other if mixed.
Wouldn't risk it unless you had a massive like 400 Gallon + aquarium.
 
same question but with a tigrinus vs slovelnoes...
trying to get a tigrinus and i have a 8'' shovelnoes tiger cat will they get along in a 265g + tank ?

so juruense will murder other juruense:eek:!!!so much for haveing both a spotted and a banded juruense in same tank:(

would a 6-7" spotted juruense get along with a banded juruense the same size for a little while in a grow out 85-90 gallon with my other fish or will they fight and do i have to worry about a juruense beating up my lazy clown loach that rests on his side at the bottom of the tank all day almost i heard thats how they rest
 
would a juruense cat fish mess up a lima. i wanna get a juruense but idk if it will get along with the lima shovel nose.
