I had a Tig and a Jur together. It was ok when they were small but once they hit the 11'-12" mark the Jur would not leave the Tig alone.
juruense vs tigrinus?

if two jurs were in a tank together 6-7" would they prob get along until they hit the 11-12" mark?ryansti;4195446; said:
jurunese are okay with each other for life. they can be commed together 4-5 jurus. but jurus and tigrinus is a big big problem.
I can only speak by experience and that is when I kept two Jurense together in a 125g they where fine together until they hit the 6"-7" + size and then they begin to fight, ripped fins, patches of skin damage etc so I separated them.
Haven't keep Tigrinus & Jurense together as i personally believe they are too closly related. 2 Tigrinus will fight & 2 Jurense will fight so I have no reason to believe that one of each wouldnt also, there are always exceptions but I wouldnt risk it.
As for Tig & Shovelnose, mine currently lives very happily with a large Shovelnose species & also two Lima's. Admitteldy the Lima's stay well out of his way & I have provided plenty of shelter for both although occasionally they do tussle for the same piece of Bogwood.
This isn't indefinate though as the shovelnose will get to dam big to be kept with the Tig eventully.
