Hope you are patient, it takes a while. Waiting for the male to get over his shyness was the most difficult part. I was ready to get rid of him on several occasions. Sure am glad I stuck it out.

Thank you. I received the male in April 2009 and the female in January 2010. They were both in the 1 1/2" to 2" range when I received them. The male came from Jeff Rapps at Tangled up in Cichlids and the female came from Ken Davis at the Fish Farm.

He stunning bro!! I agree with the shyness mine is about 12 inch and finally a glass banging eatin machine! I almost got rid of him several times but well worth the wait, if I lost mine to be honest I dont think I could ever grow another lol
