yeah, I agree with both of you guys on this. I myself know gar are not cold blooded killer, I don't know of any attacks and I also know killing off any native fish is always harmful to a eco system regardless of what it is. My only point was, as easy as they are to catch that it's crazy to see people paying so much for them. I know they aren't as readily available in other areas, but just and only just from my stand point that was a shocker to me. I also didn't know there is a bag limit on gar. I don't think we ever kept any. I do know we carried long needle nose to get our hook back lol
