I can get a picture of the tail tonight when I get home. I'm worried about it, if its not as I got a great price on this ray. No one would believe it. The mother(motoro) Father (Henlei) were the only rays in the tank. The guy I brought him from didn't even know the mother was pregnant and on oct 1st the little guy was swimming around. Hopefully he continues to get darker and starts showing his henlei side. Like I've said I know for a fact he's part henlei.

The one picture of the ray hiding in the sand you can see the tail a little bit. Is that enough?

Do you have any more info regarding the parents? How big are they, how long have them been together in the tank, was the male mature? Just curious.

To me.... i say pure motoro, to be honest it almost looks like a blue motoro, where did u get him from? How do you know its a hybrid?

I know he has had them from 2 years now. I'd want to say they were between 13-17".

Please read through the post. The guy I got him from had a Motoro and Henlei in a tank. Male was Henlei, female was Motoro. Didn't know the Motoro was pregnant and on Oct 1st the Motoro gave birth. He's not a blue motoro, there isn't such a thing. Blue motoros are overly skinny motoros.

Seth we are not trying to put you down or anything, so you will have to take everyones comments with a grain of salt.

It is true that only time will tell how this ray will turn out. This is a classic case of buying a ray for what it is "label" not what it looks like.

I am taking peoples comments with a grain of salt, but I am aloud to disagree. Just like how I disagree with this is a case of buying a ray by the label and not what it looks like. I said from the start that I thought it looked like a pure motoro but once I saw him and saw how much darker he was then in the pictures and that the only male was a Henlei I trusted the guy I bought him from and still do. Like you said time will tell. It'd be nice to know for sure right now, but I guess none of us will until the ray matures a little.

Thanks for the picture. IMO, the tail looks like a Motoro. Being dark as a pup doesn't mean it should be a Henlei. Actually, Hens are very light when they are young and gets darker as they grow. Perfect example is the picture on my avatar, look how light she is, and that's a pure Henlei.

x2, hen are actually really light when they are small. Definitely lighter than motoros as pups.
