Just brought home my new Ray!!!

He was floating around and he was kind of light, almost like a clear. I will have to get a picture. When on the sand he's darker then he is in the pictures. When he's swimming you can see a difference. I spoke with the guy I got him from again just to see if he had other rays in the tank and if it was possible the motoro female got impregnated by another male. He only has a henlei, pearl and leo that are males and only the henlei has been in the same tank as the motoro. Like I've said I got an incredible price. Lets just say I got the ray for less then what most are paying for motoros so it wasn't like he was trying to sell a "motor/henlei" to make some more money or to try and rip someone off. If the ray turned out to be pure motoro I didn't pay too much, but again the female motoro was only in a tank with a male henlei so regardless if my ray shows and henlei the father was henlei.
I guess I can't comprehend why a hybrid can not look solely like one parent and not the other. To me it is quite plausible that this is a moto/hen hybrid. If the guy isn't trying to up-sell, why would he lie? Just because other hybrids look a certain way that we're familiar with, doesn't mean that all hybrids will look that same way. It may "look" like a motoro (tail and all) but that is highly plausible and possible seeing that at least one of the parents is motoro.

Even as adults I've seen pictures of henlie/motoro look almost completely motoro but for sure the price was right and you may end up with an amazing ray.
