just got a dovii

I plan to have my 125 with my jag Dempsey and dovii, my Dempsey has a nice cave territory on the left side of the tank, my jag has a nice territory on the right and the dovii could have whatever space that's left. the Dempsey and jag are rugged and defensive so as long as I give them good territories the dovii will probly not bother going after them and I mean good secluded deep small territories wer the dovii gets his ass kicked if he comes in there and wer he doesn't even bother because thers not enough room for a fight. im lookinh forward to this
 
that seems like positive thinking at its finest but in reality the dovii may tolerate the jag and eventually destroy the jd.. but if your diligent and watch it should all work out.
That being said i would assume the jag would eventually demolish the jd all on his own so you might luck out and get a dovii x jag pair out of the deal and be responsible for a wave of 1000 homicidal baby hybrids either way good luck and I am a little jealous I want a dovii lol

If that dovii is allowed to survive through being small and is allowed to grow he will more than likely be taking down any and all fish in the tank. That's just how it works with dovii in most all cases. Dovii are not community fish and the others won't stand a chance once the tables turn.

my Dempsey was in my 30 gal awile back at 2 inches. before I knew about the nitrogen cycle he withstood horrid conditions. once I learned about the cycle I cycled out my 125 and bought a 10 inch jag(male). my dad put the Dempsey in with the jag ,that jag put the Dempsey through hell I swear he hid on the top of my driftwood halfway out of water to avoid getting killed. he was completelty tortured until I said screw it I don't want the jag I wanna raise my own fish. now let me tell you that that Dempsey is no joke he has nasty teeth and a survivalist mentality. my jag I have now is a little bigger and I swear my Dempsey keeps him in check . the Dempsey likes to leave the comfort of his own cave and harass the jag until hes piss scared. the jag might get wooped by the dovii in the end but that Dempsey isn't going NOWERE aslong as I give him a place or two to hide. now as for this little dovii he is already a glass banger you don't have to believe me but ill show u guys every morning he attacks the glass savagely and hes not even four inches. im gonna post a vid on here of what he does when he sees me by the glass.

i couldnt get a vid of the dovii doing anything cool but this is what im working with guys
 
very nice .. my dovii is 2" i bought at about 1" as the alpha from the group and he is punking my 4" Geos already..but he has survived my 240 with my other big fish ..i figured it would be better to have him grow up with his bigger tankmates ..that way he knows them his whole life...#wishful thinking!

what other big fish do u have him with in ur 240?

I hope you're going to separate the dovii from the geos before it has a chance to do some serious damage, their mouths are pretty delicate compared to the big centrals that have jaws made for lip locking and chomping prey...
