just got motoro pups

my female keeps swimming at the top of the tank on like the right side divider....idk why any one??? she does it at night i think only....male does it for a little some times....
 
If rays are swimming up the sides near the top it's usually playing. If the rays are swimming at the top there is usually a problem with the water (ammonia) or oxygen levels. If you have plants in your tank (didn't see any in the pics so I don't think it's the problem) they will take up oxygen from what I've read on here from another member at night. My guess is you have an issue with ammonia.
 
they both seem to b fine now i think it was just the first couple days... they are doing great eating baby earth worms.baby crayfish(with claws cut'n off) blood worms. market shrimp. and i am working them on to pellets
 
how often do u guys feed your pups? what do u keep the temp at ? male is real mean to the crayfish.

Do you keep the airstone on 24hr ?, if not this would cause the p.h to fluctuate !!!, it would also effect oxegen levels in the tank considerably.
 
why would i not keep it on 24/7??? i wouldnt do any thing els
