Just got my first leopard gecko

Btw, the majority of the leopard geckos you find in pet shops are female.

Places like Petco and Petsmart this is true. But if you go to local reptile stores like I have one down the block is where I found my male.

i went to a petsmart the other day and they had like 5 in a ten gal on cocofiber the humidity was over 100% i was like wtf, you have to be kidding me

How was the humidity over 100%? You do realize it would then be raining inside the tank right?

If you go to the petsmart near me it's an almost guarantee that you'll come across a dead or dieing leopard gecko. Most of the time they are just hatched and probably haven't even eaten yet and are usually very dehydrated. Buy from private breeders and reptile shows please!

there was precipitaion and water droplets all over the glass, their humidity gauge was at 100
