ive had the unfourtunate mindset to challenge my own dogs in the past. was bit by my gsd and by my miniature schnauzer. the schnauzer tore me up!

I tried the same thing and got my nose shredded by my Shi Tzu...twice before I learned. I thought I should not back down from him when he started growling...the 2nd time was before it was even done healing.

Talk about embarrassing. A tiny little dog...not even anything admirable like a Tiger or El Chupacabra.

Tagged is colloquial jargon within the reptile community and is more commonly used among venomous reptile enthusiasts.

Agreed, but we just use it because they leave they're mark on you in a way, so its a tag too

Is it true about females should get male iguana's and males should get female iguana's? Because of something to do with the scent or something?

no. it would actually be more dangerous for a woman to own a large adult male, they can sense the.."monthly visitor" and can become quite aggressive towards that person. if anyone, male or female wants an adult iguana, the best to get is a female, no breeding season aggression worries, no dominance challenges..etc. males are 100x more unpredictable behavior wise.

the only bite i've ever gotten was from my rosy boa.
the previous owner told me she had been aggressive, so i was cautious the first day.
nothing.
no hissing, no strike position, no aggressiveness at all.
so, i disregarded what i had been told. we fed her the next day, and she took the mouse no problem. i waited a few days, then got ready to take her out again. she was sleeping, but i just grabbed her anyways, she had acted like a ball python before...

the instant my fingers came into contact with her, she latched onto my thumb. she let go without too much prompting, and i washed the bite. the puncture wounds were healed within an hour.
