How about this as a stock list.
1 AT dat
1 false gar
1 pink tailed chalceus
1 leopard ctenopoma
3 ropefish
1 palmas pollis
1 senegalus
1delhezi

How does that sound?

If you want the 120 with the 4' footprint then id completely change your stock because the datnoids and flagtail are too big for a 4' tank, and the "false gar" is most likely too large of a species for a 4' tank who would have made a snack out of your climbing perch.... Why don't you do a cichlid tank ? The fish you've mentioned would cost hundreds of dollars if you don't already have them

The false gar is an xenentodon cancila, he is a very easy going fish and never shows agression to anything except feeder guppies and crickets lol. Also at the datnoid sticky it said the recommended tank size is a 4x2x2 for an American tiger. I was aware that the flagtail probably wouldn't work but whats the harm in asking right?

No one argued tthat the day wouldn't work. It was the amount of larger fish. I think its good now. Make sure its 100% covered and you'll be good

I need to spark up my fish life

Think I could add a lima shovelnose?

Does anyone have any thoughts about filtration, heating like the actual setup components?

In a way 4x2x2s can be good beacause more space for turning aroung. i might attemt a 20-22 inch fish that isn't very active in a 4x2x2 but not in a 125 beacause it couldn't turn around... but fish also need space for swiming back and fouth so I only think it helps with non active fish tht get 20-22 inches...

fx5's for filtration couple of them especially if your planning to way overstock it like you said.
no, im not doing fx5s im 16 and working a part time job, theres no way i could afford an fx5 let alone 2, the way they are priced where im at means that 1 will cost me roughly the same as the tank lol, with the ac110 and the aquatop cf 500 uv ill be getting roughly 150 gph more than a single fx5.
