Orinos at that size look more like this, Notice the line on the tail

Plus the slope of the face is all wrong

Ocels are pretty awesome too I love my big guy

yup Ocel/mono for sure. Can you spot the difference in the slope of the head. Also the third sopt istead of being symetrical is only above the lateral line

how exzactly do you tell the difference of orinos, monos, or ocell? i also changed my tank over to black sand, ill get some updated pictures up soon.

looks like they've settled down a lot better now; they're showing a lot more colors. i'm no expert, but the 3 rings, red eyes, indicates it's definitely not monolucus, but are orinos as you suspected. they look like they're fattening up nicely

so now that its not an orino. is it a mono, or ocell? sorry. im just mad that the guy swore up and down that it was an orino and i believe him lol. im still happy and excited with the purchase i just would have been more excited lol

I would vote Ocel, it will be near impossible to know the collection point since your source seems unreliable at best
