just one fish you would keep out of others . . .

it always breaks my heart when i watch documentaries on television and see a native amazon capture a 4foot redtail and slind it over his shoulder and walk home to bring it to the village pot. . . my mind always tells me ''that beast would cost £3000 if i had it alive!'

This is an extremely hard choice. If i chose a small fish, say under a foot, it would be a waste of space. I would want something that gets huge, is extremely strong, eats a lot, and lives a long time. This would be a showdown between and Red or black pacu or a Arapaima Gigas. If i had to chose it would be a Pacu either red or black, probably black because they get bigger.

It would be a waste to get like a Green terror (although i love them) because i would never be able to see them because they are so small. Stingrays are cool, if you are keeping them in a tank when you can actually see them. Peacock bass are cool, when you have like a small shoal of them so i couldn't pick that. So Black Pacu it is!

would be a waste if u got a small fish in a 3000g tank.
black pacus are more handsome in my opinion and that would make a great pet. you could in your spare time walk into the jungley part of the island and hand pick nuts for it to eat and fruit. much more easier maintenance than, say, a redtail cat. because you would have to go hunting for fish and keep its stomach happy.
