Just picked up 2 pleco, ID not sure

Congrats on a great find/deal!
I'm not that confident in my guess but I know they're not L134s for sure as I got WCs/F1s wrong shape in my opinion and yes I agree they're two different species. I think the little one is a hypans of some sort. not really going to start guessing til the pros over there have their say... the head of the bigger one reminded me of my old L052 maybe its in that family.


Which shop?!?! did you see any L239s or L204s there? thinkin about rebuilding those two back up.
 
The one in Crystal lake. No 239 ( I already have one and I might want one more too). They have couple of atabapo, l200, chololate, and one dark with white spots I dont think its vampire tho.

I also just picked up a Royal pleco today also from a different store.

They are between 2.5 to 3 inches

The only store I've been to lately is sho tank here in Mundelein and the tropical world now Corbin's out in Buffalo grove that's local.

Thanks for your input! I wish i could get two more of these guys.. now that they are settled in my tank they have the same shades of color now! They hide alot and I dont see them coming out to eat, even with the zucchini out. My BN and my severums are all over those zucchini

your pleco are hypancistrus and thay eat meat not zucchini
