Hey everyone. I made the decision a couple days ago to scrap the idea of buying a new 180 gallon and looking for something bigger but spend the same amount of money on something used. I figured if I didn't rush I could find something nice for about the same money the 180 was worth. My fish have been in their 90 gallon holding tank now for about 3 weeks and its killing me seeing them in the tight little tank. So now Im in the midst of setting up my new to me 265 gallon monster that I got for 100 bucks cheaper then my 180 would have cost!!

With the 265 I got an almost new FX5 and a 75 gallon mechanical only sump. Im not a hundred percent sure if this is going to be enough filtration yet but Im going to give it a try and see what happens. I have no previous expirience with sumps what-so-ever but I figured what a better time to learn! Today Im setting up the sump and getting everything plumber to hopefully beable to get some water in it later today.

Heres some of the pics of the process so far and what we havent accomplished yet!! Theres so much work its almost intimidating!

Heres some eye candy

HAHA thats a helper catfish!! The things in the back corner of the tank are the built in overflows for the 75 gallon sump.

Gorgeous tank man.
