Nice tank!!!! I just got a 270 gallon tank from craiglist for $250. I hope my tank comes out as nice as yours. I getting a custom made stand. Still trying to decide on what filter I should go with. I should have pics up next month 
what a steal i paid 800 for mine without a canopy it came with 2 hob and 2 powerheads. i use blk background and natuaral gravel cuz its so cheap from the local landscape shop like 7 bucks a ton so they just give it to me in 5 gal buckets for free.
thanks for the compiments guys! So the tank has been running nicely for about a week now without any problems. Ive been doing water tests everyday to make sure the water parameters are ok and everything has checked in perfect. Until today...I did my usual water tests (ammonia, nitrites, nitrates and ph) everything was good today except the nitrates. 2 days ago the nitrates were at about 10-12 ppm. Now today they are at 0?? Any idea why the nitrates would drop off like that?
oh I forgot to mention...I just got home today from a 2 day trip and now my water is alittle cloudy also. It has been crystal clear for the last week. Im in the middle of doing a water change right now.
