Should I take the filters off of the 90 and set them up on the 265 and tranfer all the fish over or should I do it slowly? Will my water perameters be ok by just cwitching the filters to the new tank? Im also going to add some prime to the water just to help with any ammonia spikes.
If you're using the same filters with the same stock, it won't be a problem to the cycle. I've done this about ten times now, simply take the filters and put them on the new tank (if you're using a brand new filter, you can take the biomedia of the old filter and put it into the new one; if you're using a brand new filter WITH the old filters, just put both filters on the new tank, you don't need to move biomedia around). Connect the filters and get them running (after you've conditioned the water, of course, otherwise the chlorine/chloramine will kill your bacteria). Then just plop the fish into their new home.
