ok the directions aren't very detailed about anything so i thought i might get some instructions from some of you more experienced brine shrimp breeders. i have everything hooked up and i added a premixed packet of eggs and salt and now thats all i have. can anyone tell me what to do next i'm so lost. thank you very much.

I have the same exact setups...Let the bubbler tumble the eggs untill they hatch....WHat is it, 48-72 hours???It's been awhile since I needed any bbs, so sorry....Well anyway, after hatching, turn off the pump....Let the egg cases settle at the top....Shine a light source(flaslight) at the bottom of the hatchery untill you see a mass of pink collect collect aroud the light(usually the bottom)...Then suck out whatever quantitiy with a tube into a net, rinse under water, and feed....

If you keep a light bulb over it they'll hatch quicker. Mine usually hatch in decent numbers 12 - 14 hrs in.

turn off the pump when you see a sufficient number of naupilli, scoop those out and you can continue running the unhatched eggs if you want

how do i know wen all the eggs are done hatching? i have no idea what its going to look like.

O, you will know....bbs(baby brine shrimp) are pink....SO imagine a couple of thousand swimming together....It's look like, well, pink soup...Be careful not to confuse the bbs from their cracked egg sacks....The egg sacks are tiny black dots that usually float to the top level....This is why sucking the bbs from the bottom is wiser, because this way you will not get as much egg cases in your net....

I can't get mine to hatch, I'm assuming its because I have their hatchery sitting in my feeder tank thats only at 76 degrees. I'm on my second batch and still failing on hatching them. I think its because I bought clearance brine shrimp.. Never again! I said screw it and bought frozen ones so my baby convicts would have something to eat.. but I didn't give up yet. If I fail on this one I'm going to raise the water temp to 82 degrees.
