Hello all. MFK seems like the most active forum for Piranha keepers. I always frequented P Fury years back. Now that my kids are a bit older; I have jumped back into Piranha keeping. Always had a mix of pygos (Piraya, Caribe & Reds) over the past 2 decades. I got spoiled having Shark Aquarium right in my backyard here in NJ. I am shocked at the lack of Piranha variety at tropical fish sellers today. Visited Aquascape a few weeks ago and even they did not seem to have the same enthusiasm for Pygos.....

Welcome aboard!
I personally kept Redbelly Piranha years ago and kept a juvenile Black Rhombeus but was young and got bored of the Rhom due to it's slow growth. Gave the Black Piranha to my friend.

Thank you. I had a small Rhom as well a while back.

Noticed members recently purchasing Manuelli Piranha. If my 180 gallon was not occupied I would probably pull the trigger on one myself. The price scares me because to have a juvenile Manny shipped to me and DOA at $300.00 and can't forget shipping would upset me greatly.

Yes. Manuelli were a bit tougher to get when I first started collecting Ps. When I visited Aquascape a few weeks ago that is one of the few Ps they had. $400.00 or so was the price tag on each one I believe. I am 25 minutes from Aquascape so never had to deal with live shipments.....
