just set up a 125g

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I don't know peter, that driftwood is kind of tall, might look better in my tank.

how about some angelfish and some geos. :)

chicla!!! and dat

Good looking tank, really like the set-up. I tried all black sand too and had the same trouble, it's so fine every sudden movement and sand was being sucked into the intake. I mixed it with PFS and it helped but it did lighten things up, not a bad look though.

How are the L. thayeri with eachother? Have read mixed reports on them actually being quite aggressive to conspecifics. Interested to know as they're legal imports and I plan to try some if we ever get them over here.

Tank looks great though, loving the monster anubias leaves on the right that catch the edge of the light. Great exposure too.

The L. thayeri pair are inseparable. They get along great and have spawned several times. Fry went to Ken as usual. A friend collected them from Peru and brought them back to the US. She's thrilled that they are making babies :)

That's exactly my concern. I need to shorten the eheim intake tube. The other intakes are high enough that I don't have to worry too much about...

very nice tank. what about a pair of rainbow cichlids? Love the driftwood and the black sand. Can you put some nylon stockinette over the intake to prevent the sand from getting in? Maybe double up the stockinette?

Nice looking tank pete. Where did you put that thing?

Nice, clean setup. I like it!
