now that i know..santiwongsei and the p. hypo are the ones i was interested in..i had no idea of the size difference..

dmpor; i posted it here since I didn't know what kind of fish the ID sharks were..when i think of catfish, i think of fat creatures that lay around on the bottom..not fish that are sold for $3 at PETSMART swimming at a great speed around the tank..

santiger; thank you..exactly, i don't like search engines much when I'm doing research on specific species.. i rather ask knowledgable fish people..not google

need a reliable resource on fishes? www.fishbase.org We used it when I interned in the Dept of Ichythyology at the AMHN

i was about to get an ID shark at the fish store last weekend though..wanted to see how my turtle will react to it..

and why do they call ID sharks iridescent..didn't that word mean like colorful or something.. I've only seen 2 major colors on them..dark blue & white
