I have checked the CT DOAG and DEP laws regarding native fish... there appears to be no problem with removing pickerel of ANY size from brooks and streams. Same thing goes for LMB fry, but again, only in brooks and streams.
And the white suckers they eat are the most abundant baitfish in CT, again from brooks and streams, but you can take any size sucker anywhere, apparently. Charming little fish, a bit like flying foxes.
