I smoked for 36 yrs and quite 9 months ago cold turkey with the stop-smoking drug called "Chantix". Some people claim there's bad side effects but honestly? I think they're probably hypocondriacs. Sigh. Me, my brother (smoked 35 yrs) and my husband (smoked 30 yrs) all quite 9 mo ago at the same time with Chantix-none of us have gone back to smoking. The only time I think about cigarettes is when someone mentions it. If it makes you feel better-all nicotine is out of your system in 3 days. Just 3 days. After that it's the psychological addiction (habit) that you deal with. I thank God every day that I quit and I wish you the best.

Edit: Greenterra, I didn't see your post until after I posted lol Congrats and it's great to see someone else had as good of luck as I did with Chantix (called Champix in other countries).
Yes, Chloe, you can get it over there. The UK is a country with one of the highest number of smokers and bazillions have quit with this drug over there. It makes it so easy.
