for sure, we just rinse the rocks in our tank every now and then only really if we can see that they're dirty otherwise just leave it be. I see that you have a congo, how do you have their tank decorated???

Same with the Palembangs really, sand substrate, Anubias plants and DW... just no rocks

R.I.P: Kaleeko - Mbu Puffer

Kaleeko passed away on Saturday morning, after puffing up and having air trapped inside of him. We burried him below a tree by our local river... he will be deeply missed.

Oh Lisa I am so sorry for your loss. That's how I lost my Puffy too. What made him puff, do you know?

My bf found him laying on his side earlier that morning.. he was hardly breathing and his one eye had gone cloudy... so we did a water change immeditately. My bf was holding him to try and get some fresh water into his gills.. he didn't like that and he puffed up .. and we couldn't get him unpuffed. It was really hard trying to burp him.. he kept up puffing under water, so we'd give him a break.. but he still had air trapped. He just wouldn't let it go he died in my bf's hands.

That really sucks to hear... i remember when i almost lost my congo that way...

It's pretty scary .. really hard to de-puff a puffer, especially one that's 14inches
