you should have sued him to get the cost of the fish back.

I don't remember anything fishwise happening, except for the parties, with cans + fish tank. Although when I went to Dallas for the races, I came back to my baby 4ft gator missing. Someone let her out. Mind you I live on 80 acres with a creek and pond. What blew my mind is I found her about a month later in the creek. So an upside to that story thankfully.

Couple years ago I went on a family vaction and had one of my best and most trusted friends come to my house a couple times during the week to feed my fish. I printed off a instruction sheet and everything, keeping multiple different species, both salt and fresh, even I get confused sometimes on who gets fed what and when. Long story short, I came home to my tank stinking of rotten food and tons of uneaten food all over my tank. His excuse was: I just threw in a bit of everything at once. They're just fish man, relax.

Needless to say I had massive ammonia and nitrite spikes the following day, luckily only loosing a scopas tang.

I hate people being around my tanks for this exact reason. I've had people stick their hands/fingers into my tanks and needless to say they don't do it again. Last time it was little kids sticking tweezers (feed my blind Goldie with them when he won't take food from my fingers) in the tank trying to touch my Goldfish. The blind one I've had for over 3 years now and quite frankly shouldn't be alive with all the medical problems he's had pop up but he's a trooper. I would be extremely pissed if something happened to that fish.

i had an incident where my uncle poured orange soda into my tank and fed my fish weed. I was outraged but none of my fish died surprisingly. This was when i was a kid and i had a oscar and some koi. lmao makes me laugh at it now how dumb he was

I hate leaving my house. Every time I go on a vacation, I keep calling whoever is at my home taking care of my fish. My mom keeps telling me to stop worrying about my fish, but my brothers have friends that seem like they are "that one person". I never trust anyone with my tanks. My fish are my life. I love them too much to lose any. Also every time I come home from vacation my tanks are full of algae and uneaten food... I need some way to protect my fish. Why has there have to be so many stupid a-holes that do stuff like kill your fish or in there case "experiment with them": aka Watch your fish suffer when you are not around. And this is why I never really trust anyone...

had a friend think it would be funny to taunt my foot long RES turtle. Put his finger in the tank. He didn't realize my turtle could stretch his neck that far out of the water. Never touched any of my tanks again. Had a different friend wiggle his fingers in with my groupers because he thought it was funny. Never seen a grouper or a person move so fast. My friend actually cried it hurt so bad. He was bleeding... He instantly gained respect for that fish.

Well, all I know... is that one night- the 125 gallon Oscar/jack dempesy, parrots, cats/plecho etc tak is FINE at 10P
